World No. 1 doubles team, Bob Bryan and Mike Bryan, defeated the Indo-Pak Express, Rohan Bopanna and Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi, 7-6(5), 7-6(4) Friday in New York to win their third US Open crown and ninth major title.
Victory at Flushing Meadows wraps up a dream summer for the Americans, who are on a 14-match winning streak after coming into the US Open with back-to-back titles at Toronto and Cincinnati. Since Wimbledon they are on a torrid 22-2 tear.

Two weeks before their Toronto triumph, the twins had broken the Open Era record for most tour-level doubles titles won by a team with their 62nd victory in Los Angeles.
"This year's been unbelievable," said Mike Bryan. "It's been a dream to win here on this court in front of all the fans; it was a magical atmosphere. This was probably our favourite match, in front of a packed house on Arthur Ashe Stadium. Right now, this is the pinnacle. Where do we go from here?"

Added Bob Bryan: "This has been the best two weeks of my life. This was the best match we've ever played. Bopanna and Qureshi played awesome. We just matched their energy and played incredible.
"The flood gates have kind of opened since (LA) and we've played the best tennis we've ever played. This is the craziest summer we've ever had. To win Toronto, Cincinnati and the Open is a dream come true."

The Bryans have won nine titles this season and have already secured their place at the season-ending World Tour Finals in London, where they are the defending champions. Amongst their trophies are a fourth Australian Open crown (d. Nestor-Zimonjic), and ATP World Tour Masters 1000 titles in Rome (d. Isner-Querrey) and Madrid (d. Nestor-Zimonjic). Their tally is second only to their 2007 campaign, when they won 11 titles.
With nine Grand Slam doubles titles, the 32-year-old Bryans are second on the Open Era leader list behind Todd Woodbridge and Mark Woodforde, who won 11 titles during their illustrious career. The Bryans won their two previous US Open titles in 2005 and 2008.
In a high-quality final, there was very little to separate the two teams. Bopanna and Qureshi were playing in their first Grand Slam doubles final together, but showed no sign of nerves with a solid serving display in the first set. They held the only break point of the set, in the third game, and dropped only seven points behind their delivery as they pushed the Bryans to a decisive tie-break.
The No. 16 seeds twice squandered a mini-break lead in the tie-break and the tension told for Bopanna at 5-5 as he volleyed wide to give the Bryans a set point chance. The 17-time Grand Slam finalists duly converted with an unreturnable serve from Mike Bryan.
Neither team was again able to break through in the second set, despite both having opportunities, and the set progressed to another tie-break. Mini-breaks were exchanged early before great hustle from Bob Bryan to scoop a low forehand over the net gave the Americans a 5-3 lead. It was an advantage they would not relinquish as Mike Bryan sealed victory with an ace.

"I know I gave 100 per cent, and Rohan gave 100 per cent also," said Qureshi. "I think the Bryans played the big points really well, and they just proved why they are No. 1 in the world and definitely the best team in the history of tennis."
"It's been a great run for us," added Bopanna. "I'm really thankful that Aisam has played with me. It's been a fantastic week. I'd like to congratulate the Bryans for being the best team out there."
"They are great guys. It's great to see another marquee team out there," declared Bob Bryan. "They're gonna gather a lot of attention for doubles. They're going to be spokesmen for doubles, which we love. I think this is gonna raise the profile."
"What they're doing to bring India and Pakistan together is pretty special," added Mike Bryan. "A sport can bring people together. These guys are gonna be great for the game for a long time. Hopefully they stick together, and I think they will. It's gonna do great things for doubles and great things for everything."

On Monday The Bryan Brothers Foundation is donating $10,000 to Flood Relief in Pakistan in honor of Aisam in hopes that other tennis fans and Americans will send along some much needed dollars to help the people who have been devastated by the recent storms.
Bob Bryan won his seventh mixed doubles title with Liezel Huber on Friday, defeating Qureshi and Kveta Peschke. Bob is the first player to win both the mixed and men's doubles title at the US Open in twenty-eight years - - - since Kevin Curren did it in 1982. Excerpted from ATP Staff
